Sales

For only £3 per household per year you can use our Distribution Hut with its wide range of gardening items at reasonable prices

Come to the hut on Sunday morning (10am – 12 noon July to February and 9.30am – 12 noon March to June inclusive) to buy from our comprehensive range of composts, fertilisers, pesticides, fungicides, ground cover, netting, canes, pots and more.  The helpers in the hut will be pleased to answer your questions and give advice.

Notes from the Hut August 2010

Coir growing medium

You can get this peat-free product in smaller quantities now – 20litres for £2.10 – so why not try it for your remaining seed-sowing, pricking out and potting on? Plant roots develop very well in it. It is very light and friable, contains a wetting agent and enough fertiliser to last a plant about six weeks.

The 80litre bag is also still available.

Look out for our stall at the show!

We will be selling spring flowering bulbs at the show.  A wide range is on order from the larger daffodils, narcissus and tulips to the smaller ‘rockery’ varieties, and a mix of other favourites such as crocuses and hyacinths.  If you can’t make it to the show, bulbs will continue to be sold at the hut through the autumn.  Bulb fibre will be available for planting bulbs indoors in pots.

Coming in September/October

Autumn sown garlic, over-wintering onion sets and broad beans will be on sale in late September and October.
